Three Athletes Shortlisted for Young Athlete of the Year Honour
Announced recently
Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the last year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the maiden time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.
The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.
Agyemang's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Football
Just three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to European Championship victory.
She entered the fray to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His subsequent victory at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, shattering the previous record.
"Being nominated for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."
Davina Perrin
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an remarkable and historic innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.
It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the batting rankings and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
